San Jose Earthquakes Stadium Guidelines
TAILGATING POLICY
- Due to university and local municipal restrictions there is NO tailgating allowed in VIP Parking, Parking Lots A, B, and C, nor in the General Parking Lots located across from the stadium
- The Earthquakes will open the Club Quake Tailgate Zone at 5:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to kick-off)
- The only entry gate for the Tailgate Zone is at the South Gate (closest to Leavey Center and the VIP lot)
- Concession stands will be open and will have food, non-alcoholic beverages and beer for sale
- There will be access to restrooms
- You cannot bring your own food/drink into the tailgate zone
- There is grass and tables to sit at in the tailgate zone
- You will need a game ticket to enter the Club Quakes Tail Gate Zone
Parking:
- All parking lots will open at 5pm (2 hours prior to kick-off)
- If you do not have a season parking pass it will cost $10 per car to park in general parking lots
- Parking lots to choose from will be lots A, B, C and the general lots across from the stadium

STADIUM ENTRY/EXIT
- Stadium gates will open at 5:30pm (1.5 hours before kick off)
- South Gate opens 2 hours prior to kick-off
- There are four entry points to the stadium
- Gate A is closest to Lot A
- Gate B is off Palm Drive, closest to Lot B
- Gate C is off El Camino Real
- South Gate is nearest Leavey Center and VIP lot
- There are no re-entry privileges into the stadium

- STREAMERS

- BANNERS (zip tied to railings)
- No larger than 5' x 32'
- Banners must be hung on the lower railing
- FLAGS W/1 POLE (POLES NOT LONGER THAN 3')
- FLAGS W/2 POLES (POLES NOT LONGER THAN 3')
- BACKPACKS (16"x16"x8")
- Portable Seatbacks
STADIUM RESTRICTIONS:
- NO OUTSIDE FOOD, DRINKS, BOTTLES OR CANS
- NO SMOKE BOMBS OF ANY KIND/SIZE
- NO FLARES OR FIRE EMITTING DEVICES OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING SPARKLERS)
- NO HORNS
- (only allowed at the Oakland Coliseum games)
ANIMALS:
- The only animals allowed in the Stadium are certified service animals. Owners must have appropriate certification in their possession. Service animals in training will not be permitted to enter the Stadium unless they are authorized by the Director of Stadium Operations.
EARTHQUAKES BOX OFFICE:
- There are three box offices, please refer to the map for further detail
- 1) El Camino Real near Gate C
- 2) Near parking Gate A
- 3) The Leavey Center Box Office
- Box offices will open on game days two hours prior to game time.
- On non-game days, tickets for individual games may also be purchased at tickets.com, or by phone at 1.800.225.2277
- Will Call is located at Gate A
- Ticket Services is located at Gate C
TICKET INFORMATION:
- All guests 24 months or older must have an appropriate ticket for entry. Toddlers under 24 months do not need a ticket to enter Buck Shaw Stadium, but they must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult. Please be considerate to those seated around you.
- For season tickets, group tickets or general information call (877) QUAKE-01.
WILL CALL:
- Will Call is located at Gate A and opens 2.5 hours prior to game time. Guests must show picture identification at Will Call in order to pick up their tickets. Guests may also leave tickets at these windows.
MEDIA WILL CALL:
- Media can enter through any gate and can pick up credentials at media will call located next to the North Gate box office.
GATE OPENINGS:
- Stadium gates will open at 5:30pm (1.5 hours before kick off)
- South Gate opens 2 hours prior to kick-off
*Subject to change on selected dates. On large attendance games and special events, gates may open earlier to the public. Additional games may be added or subtracted at a later date.
EXIT/RE-ENTRY PRIVILEGES:
- Exit/Re-entry Privileges: Buck Shaw Stadium does not offer Exit/Re-entry privileges. Once a guest has exited the facility their ticket will not be valid for entry again.
CAMERAS & VIDEOS:
- Cameras and videos are allowed in the Stadium during all regular season games as long as they are not for commercial use. Both cameras and videos must be hand held; tripods cannot be set up in the seating areas or the aisles (monopods are allowed), and must not block the view of the soccer game for other guests.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
The San Jose Earthquakes are committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience. Our staff has been trained to proactively intervene where necessary to help ensure a family entertainment environment:
- Guests will follow the specified policies regarding carry-in items. Guests will allow any acknowledged representative at the gate of entrance to search items being brought into the stadium.
- Guests will show their ticket when requested and sit only in their ticketed seat.
- The progress of the game will not be disrupted by guests' actions or unauthorized persons entering the playing field.
- Guests will enjoy the soccer experience free from foul/abusive language or obscene gestures.
- Obscene or indecent clothing will not detract from the guest experience.
- Guests will refrain from smoking in any areas other than the designated smoking areas.
- Guests will refrain from displays of affection not appropriate in a public, family setting.
- Intervention from an impaired or intoxicated guest will be handled in a prompt and safe manner.
The San Jose Earthquakes reserves unto itself the right to determine what constitutes unacceptable behavior. Any guest that fails to comply with any of the above stated policies is subject to ejection from the stadium and/or arrest.
DISABLES SERVICES:
- Entrances: All Stadium entry gates are disabled accessible.
- Parking: Handicapped parking is available in each general parking lot. Disabled parking stalls are available on a first come, first serve basis. The space nearest the facility at the end of each row is clearly marked with a disabled symbol.
- Wheelchair Accessible Seating: There are wheelchair accessible spaces available for sale throughout Buck Shaw Stadium
GUEST RELATIONS:
Guest Relations is located at Ticket Services, located near Gate C.
LOST AND FOUND:
Found items are taken to the Leavey Center as soon as possible. Items are immediately logged and kept there until the crowd has completely exited the Stadium after each game. Items will need to be picked up from the Earthquakes Offices please call (408) 556.7700.
PROMOTIONAL GIVEAWAYS:
Promotional giveaways are available at various games during the season.
- Each eligible guest must receive the item immediately after entering the turnstile, unless specified otherwise.
- Only one item is given to each guest, regardless of how many tickets they have.
- Anyone going through an entry gate which has run out of the promotional item will not be able to obtain the item from inside the Stadium at another gate
SMOKING::
Smoking is not permitted at Buck Shaw Stadium.
