2005: Dempsey came off his 2004 Rookie of the Year season to emerge as one of the league's most creative and potent attacking players. Got off to a torrid start to open the 2005 campaign, scoring in five consecutive games between April 9 and May 7. Dempsey's streak stood up as the longest consecutive games goals streak in MLS in 2005. His 10 goals in the regular season tied him for 8th in MLS in 2005. With 9 assists, Dempsey was tied for 6th in the league for 2005.

2004: Was rewarded for superior play with the MLS Gatorade Rookie of the Year in November. Dempsey tied Steve Ralston for third on the Revolution roster in goal scoring (7) in 2004 despite missing more than a month of action with a broken jaw.

International

Headed home the game-winning goal early in the second half as U.S. fought through a snowstorm to defeat Poland, 1-0, in Kaiserslautern, Germany on March 1, 2006. Scored for the U.S. in 3-2 win over Japan on Feb. 10, 2006 at SBC Park in San Francisco. 18 caps and 4 goals for the U.S. National Team as of March 21, 2006.
