Chris Wingert came to the Rapids in a draft day trade with the Crew in 2006. Wingert played 10 games for the first team and nine for the reserves. A mid-season injury took away some playing time from the former Herman Trophy winner. Wingert also appeared in all three Rapids playoff matches recording 272 minutes on the field.
