Daniel Wasson had a productive rookie year with the Rapids in 2006. In just his second game as a professional, the Colorado Springs native scored a goal off a corner in Salt Lake. He didn't find the score sheet again but it wasn't for a lack of trying as he made many goalkeepers work hard during the year. Wasson also played 10 games for the Rapids Reserves.

College

Wasson, who started his collegiate career playing for the United States Air Force Academy, joins the Rapids from the University of Tulsa, where he transferred to in 2005.

During the summer of 2005, the Liberty High School graduate played in the Professional Development League (PDL) for the Chicago Fire Premier.

Wasson's parents are the original founders of the well-known Pride Soccer Club of Colorado Springs, which is one of the largest youth soccer clubs in the state of Colorado, with approximately 5,400 youth players on over 300 teams…Favorite soccer player in the world is Alan Smith of Manchester United…Completed combat survival training while at the Air Force Academy…Played in the first-ever McDonald's All-American High School soccer game, scoring the first-ever goal for the West.
