Omar Cummings enjoyed a career season in 2008 registering career-high in every category as the team second leading scorer. His blazing speed has also been a factor in earning his first call-ups to the Jamaican National Team last year.

MLS HIGHLIGHTS

2008: Cummings had a breakout season in 2008 recording career-highs in games played (26), starts (17), goals (6) and assists (4)…His six goals were second highest on the team…Appeared in one Reserve division match…2007: Posted two goals in the regular season, placing him tied for fourth on the team…Appeared in 11 matches, logging 182 total minutes…He also recorded two goals and two assists for the defending champion Rapids Reserves this year…Highlight of 2007 was scoring the game-winning goal at Chivas USA on Oct. 14 in the 90th minute.

NATIONAL TEAM

Cummings saw his first international call-ups to his native Jamaica in 2008…He was selected to play for his native Jamaican National Team earning five caps for the Reggae Boyz and scoring one goal during their qualifying matches for the 2010 World Cup.
