Kyle Beckerman had an offensive breakout in 2006 with seven goals blasting his previous career total of three goals in a season. Five of those tallies were on the road, making him the team's top goal scorer away from the Rapids former home, Invesco Field at Mile High, for the 2006 season. His great season earned him his first National Team call-up and cap in January. During the 2006 season he started 31 of the 32 regular season games, not appearing in only one game all season. Beckerman recorded a career high seven goals and four assists, making him one of the Rapids highest scorers. Two of his assists came in the Rapids must-win Western Conference Semi Final match against FC Dallas on Oct. 21 helping advance his team to the Conference Championship.
