 Player Development Officer
MetroStars/MLS Camps is on the cutting edge of youth soccer education. Our Player Development Officer (PDO) program has something to suit all your player and coach requirements. A PDO is a professional, licensed coach who works exclusively with your organization. The roles and responsibilities of a PDO can be specifically designed to meet the needs of your organization, PDO functions can include:
- Recreation and Competitive Level Team Training
- Technical and Tactical Development
- Tryouts and Evaluation
- Specialty Clinics
- Coach Education
- Individual Player Assessment and Reporting
All MetroStars/MLS Camps Player Development Officers possess both expertise in soccer and the ability to communicate our educational philosophy. To ensure that our staff is of the highest caliber, we require that each coach is fully trained in MetroStars/MLS Camps Kidriculum® and assessment tools, and holds any or all of the following qualifications:
- USSF A and B Coaching Licenses
- UEFA A and B Coaching Licenses
- FA Preliminary Coaching Award/FA Coaching Cert.
- MetroStars/MLS Camps Coaching Proficiency Award
