Reserves: Wizards 2, Galaxy 0
It took 60 minutes for the Wizards to score their first goal, but once they did it took less than a minute for them to score their second. Rookie Yura Movsisyan finished off both goals for Kansas City, his second and third goals of the 2006 campaign. The first goal started when Will John played the ball out wide to Ryan Raybould on the right side. Raybould pushed the ball up the right flank before hitting a perfectly driven cross to the back post that found Movsisyan. The 2006 First Round Draft Pick elevated above his man and headed the ball back across the frame, finding the side netting for the 1-0 lead.
Movsisyan added his second in the 61st minute when he dribbled around L.A. goalkeeper Steve Cronin near the top of the penalty box before calmly placing a side-footed shot into the open net. Movsisyan received the ball about 25-yards out, breaking through the Galaxy backline on a pass from John that came from just beyond the center circle.
Rookie Eric Kronberg made his second consecutive start in goal for the Wizards reserves, posting five saves on the morning for the first shutout of his career.
